This loch lies further to the west than the Cross Lochs and is reached by a short walk from the same forestry track taken for Cross. It is basically round and is peaty to the south and west, stony to north and east. There is a boat available and best sport is certainly obtained from the boat, not just because the wading is poor in some areas.
This is a great beginner’s loch and is packed full of small fish eager to take the fly and any pattern will do. Fish take all over so whatever the wind direction, take advantage of the longest drift available.
