We are pleased to announce that we now have a boat at the south end of loch Hope. This is a new addition to our fishing portfolio for 2007. Loch hope is renowned for it's sea trout (with some salmon of course). Our ghillie will pick you up from the hotel and take you along to the loch, then after a fine day's fishing return you to the comfort of Forsinard. This service is reserved for hotel guests only. Salmon fishing
The hotel is pleased to be able to offer salmon fishing on the River Halladale, one of the premier northern spate rivers. We can also arrange with prior notice fishing on the Helmsdale river, arguably one of the best salmon rivers of Scotland.
Ghillies are available on request to complete your enjoyment of the river fishing. Please advise early as to your requirements as availability is strictly limited. We also have arrangements with local estates for salmon fishing on their lochs to provide an unrivalled variety of options.

These packages begin with a three course meal on the day of arrival, and end with a full cooked breakfast on the morning of departure.
Also included daily are :
- A full cooked highland breakfast
- A packed lunch and hot flask

- Wild brown trout fishing on hotel lochs
- Use of boats

Big fish
Past years have produced some excellent brown trout catches. The biggest fish in 2004 was Chris Carpenter with his 4lb 6oz whopper. In 2003 Barbara Haughan brought home a 4lb 4 1/4 oz beast, and pictured below in 2002 Rob King landed this lovely fish.
