From Inverness follow the A9 north (follow the signs for Wick & Thurso). At Helmsdale turn north onto the A897 and follow the signs for Melvich. Forsinard is approximately thirty miles from the A9 turn off at Helmsdale.

From Wick follow the A99 and then the A9 south to Helmsdale and then turn north onto the A897. Follow the signs for Melvich. Forsinard is approximately thirty miles from the A9 turn off at Helmsdale.
